Faulty WiFi Cards = Bad News for Everyone.

Recently here at MetaGeek a broken WiFi card wreaked havoc on the 2.4GHz spectrum. Each network, (a total of 10) had little to no connectivity due to this interference. Were it not for our Wi-Spy 2.4x we would not have been able to identify the culprit.

We've been having issues with one of the buildings on our wireless
network. I took your Wi-Spy hardware out to the site to test and came
back with some interesting results.

Mazda 6 car alarm

Had an interesting case of interference, which I was finally able to
track down. For several months, a friend's mesh network had been
experiencing vastly increased noise between the hours of 5.30pm and
7am, and most of the weekend. It was almost like clockwork, and caused
parts of the mesh to drop out. We spent ages looking for video senders,

Any Idea what this interference is (around channel 8 )?
I've seen it in two different locations.
Could it be my laptop?
could it be a faulty dongle?

If i switch to battery on my laptop it changes to:

Lucent/Orinoco 802.11b PCMCIA cards lock up

I have three different versions of the Orinoco card. Two are the Gold
(128-bit WEP), one branded IBM, and the other a Silver (64-bit WEP)
card. In late November all three of them stopped working at the same
time. To my surprise the wireless network at this location was working
