Feature Request: List Discovered APs

Can you please add the functionality to display discovered APs, their channel and strength into Chanalyzer; possibly in its own window? This would go a long way to helping me analyze the wifi conditions of several of my warehouses.

Thank you

We are making good progress. The next release of Chanalyzer should be
able to show SSIDs and AP MAC addresses associated with each channel.

There are some sample recordings of wifi traffic that should give you some
idea of what the signatures look like. http://www.metageek.net/Support/Docs/Recordings/802_11g_Comparison/

Thanks - that would really be of a help, if you can get that working.

In the meantime, is there an easy way to tell what is WIFI versus other interference?

Stuff like microwave ovens are obvious.. but some of the lower powered stuff, seems to be more difficult to determine.

(Although I'd really also like to know which WIFI signal is mine vs others.)

Thanks for the suggestion. That is actually something we've wanted to
do for a long time. Unfortunately, the API that Windows uses to
discover available 802.11 networks and display information about them
isn't doc umented, so discovering and implementing the algorithm will
be a significant challenge.
