I am running an Compaq 6510b with an Intel 3945ABG card with ver. 11.5.0.32, and Windows XP SP2. I have also downloaded the recommended windows update. The program starts, the 3945abg card is selected and I attempt to start scanning but nothing happens. Any suggestions or ideas?

InSSIDer's scanning works better when your wireless card is not connected to a network.  Try disconnecting, and see if that helps.
