Interferer transmit power.

I'm planning to buy a Wi-Spy 2.4 and i want to ask if it is possible to
estimate the interferes trasmit power by the information collected from
Wi-Spy.
We assume that we have found the interferers location
with an external directional antenna and we have made the measurements
as near as possible to the source.
We have a lot of problems with out of nominal values transmissions and we want to find and elimenate them.
Thank you.
hmmm...my response to this post seems to have disappeared, sorry about
that. Yes, you can make a reasonable estimate of the transmit power of
an interferer using Wi-Spy 2.4x. Measuring as closely to the
transmitter as possible and converting the observed dBm to mW will give
you a value somewhat less (depending upon how far away the measurement
is taken) than the actual power of the transmitter.
