Packet Analyzer

Just curious if there is any effort from MetaGeek to package a packet analyzer, particularly one that can be used on MAC OSX or Linux. For an example think of Wireshark or Air Defense's "Air Defense Moble". In short - the ability to drill down to read the packet contents is needed and would compliment the spectrum analysis Wi-Spy already does.

But why? You can currently use Wireshark to capture packets through the built-in OS X wireless cards as is right now. Why bundle the kitchen sink into Wi-Spy and turn it into bloatware?

Currently we are focusing on releasing an improved version of Chanalyzer with features that will recognize the devices, as well as releasing Wi-Spy 5x, hopefully in April of 2008.  Analyzing packets would be a great addition to our software, however we are committed to making these other improvements first.

 We of course always appreciate our user input, and always consider it in our planning.  Thank you.
