Wi Spy dBm Levels very low.

I just purchased a wi spy. When I look at the planar view average levels are no higher than -85dbm. I have placed the wireless router next to the wi spy and I don't see any difference. I am wondering if I have a defective Antenna in the wi spy.
The more I worked with the wi spy the more I was able to see it working. It was simply a matter of running chanalyzer for a longer time period so that the spectral and topographical views could show what is happening. I also had to create more wireless traffic since there are not many wireless devices in my area.
Thanks for choosing Wi-Spy, and welcome to metageek.net! If a wireless network isn't being heavily used, you won't see much color on the Spectral or Topo Views. You should still activity on the Planar view, particularly the Current and Max traces. If you are concerned about how well your device is working, please use the Submit Recording button to send in a sample recording, and we'll take a look and see if it looks kosher.
