Wi-Spy uncalibrated? damaged?

Hi to all,
first of all excuse muy poor English, but I don't have all the time I want to practise it.
A few days ago, we were making some tests with new antennas attaching to Wi -Spy 2.4x.
After we connect one of those antennas, Wi-Spy don't measure with more sensibility, and after attach again its original antenna, it lost a lot of sensibility, and measures lower values than before. ¿It is descalibrated? ¿It is damaged because we attach a bad antenna? the antenna works perfect with 802.11 cards. ¿ Wi-Spy 2.4x can be reset in any form?
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, it does sound like the Wi-Spy is damaged. I will follow up with you via email.
Thanks for the reply!
I don't understand why it was damaged only by putting a different antenna, can be because the quality of that antenna? impedance etc...? it works perfectly with other wifi hardware.
thanks,
It is hard to say. I don't think the antenna itself is what damaged the Wi-Spy. One possibility is ESD damage, another is a popped solder joint on the antenna connector. The only way I can image the antenna causing a problem is if it had a very high gain, and picked up a strong signal. What is the gain of the antenna in question?
