Default XP - Unable to find wlanapi.dll

Thanks for Inssider - I can't wait for channel support on XP!

I loaded Inssider --- without my WiSpy installed --- (I don't have it with me right now), to see what it looks like. I'm using XP SP2 with .Net 2.0.
I get an error that it's unable to find wlanapi.dll.

I wont be able to test with my WiSpy until tomorrow -- but even if it's an issue that the DLL isn't loaded due to the WiSpy not being there, it should be caught with a friendlier error.

    Thanks!

Default A hotfix is required for Windows XP

Your comment on the error handling should be friendlier is dead-on. The issue is actually due to the fact that XP requires a hotfix in order to support Inssider (and other apps that use the Wireless Zero Configuration API). You can find the hotfix here. I'll work on updating the documentation and improving the error handling when the DLL is missing, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

    Default The Hotfix

Yes, I needed this Hotfix too. It is documented via support.microsoft.com as Wireless LAN API (KB918997).
