I also have the 3d problem, I can see the grid but no other info.
This is a Acer laptop with the Intel 945 chipset, updated drivers, DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
All the other Microsoft updates are done, including .Net
Any and all DirectX installs or updates does nothing including the links above from Microsoft, including the webupdater, simply put, it says it's at the latest and greatest, sono update required.
I hope this gives you some info to get this fixed.
Regards,
cse_20
I ran the test Chanalyzer-lite you posted (V1.0.6.0717) with no apparent effect - 2D works fine but the 3D graph is empty (I can zoom and rotate it fine). This is a Dell Latitude D520 and I download DirectX from the Chanalyzer installer. The 3D mode works on my desktop (ATI Radeon). The lappy info:

As the 3D is the primary feature of the $99 wi-spy 2.4i device, we really need to get it working. I have spent about 8 hours off and on trying to get the product working.
I understand you have gotten 3D to work on a vista computer. Are you trying to run Chanalyzer Lite on an older computer, or a Netbook? If you can send us your specifications like many other people have, we can more easily determine what the issue is exactly.** I think the primary feature of the $99 Wi-Spy 2.4i is the price.* The 3D is the primary feature of Chanalyzer Lite, which supports all of our Wi-Spy devices.* The information in the 3D view is just a combination of the waterfall view, and the planar view, which means you can still troubleshoot.* Also, those views can log up to an hour which will help you monitor instances beyond real time.* The 3D view has its uses, but is fairly limited compared to the other views. As far as a resolution date, we are preparing the release of Chanalyzer Lite 1.1.* It has some significant features that we think everyone will realy enjoy.* We've implemented some better handling of the 3D, but we haven't been able to get it to work on older laptops, and netbooks.* We look forward to working with our customers to provide a resolution however it just may be an incompatibility issue.
I seem to have an issue with the Direct X 9.0c update (dxwebsetup.exe)... the .cab file installation is said not to be trusted and that I should check to see if my Cryptographic Services are running(did that...they are) and if the certificate was valid (downloaded from Microsoft!).
Don't mean to bring more troubles to the table but I wondered if there is something I can try to load the latest version of Directx 3D successfully?
