Hey guys, Stephen here with Metageek.

I just wanted to give you guys an update about the changes we've made to the forums and also introduce some things.

First off, there is a reputation system now! If you think someone made a great post or someone posted something disrespectful, you now have to power to say so. To do this, at the bottom of the user's post you should see a star icon. Click it, select whether you approve or disapprove of their post, leave a comment (optional, but recommended to let the user know what they did to receive this reputation), and submit!

If you would like to view reputations that you may be receiving do the following:

1. Click "Forum Actions" located at the top of the page.
2. Click "General Settings". (Here you can ensure that the "Show Reputation" button is selected in the "Reputation Level").
3. Click "Settings" located at the top left of the screen (Right above "My Subscriptions").

On this page you will be able to see reputations you received and comments that were left.

New also are a few groups. We have added some groups that will help distinguish users on how they contribute. The following are a few examples:

-Wi-Spy Owner: A user who contributes by posting recordings and screenshots of Chanalyzer recordings.
-Spectrum Analyst Geek: A user who contributes by posting helpful tips on Chanalyzer, offers insights on recordings, etc.
-inSSIDer Geek: A user who contributes by posting helpful tips and tricks on inSSIDer.

You now have ranks! We have added new ranks to the forum based on the amount of posts a user has. The ranks are the following:

-0 posts: First Timer
-3 posts: Fresh Geek
-10 posts: Amateur Geek
-25 posts: Geek
-50 posts: Geek 2.0
-75 posts: Master Geek
-100 posts: Pro Geek
-150+ posts: Wise Geek

You can also use avatars. You are able to select from one of our default avatars or upload your own avatar. To do this, do the following:

1. Click "Forum Actions" located at the top of the page.
2. Click "Edit Profile".
3. Click "Edit Avatar" found in the "My Settings" section.
4. Follow the options to set your avatar!

We have also added a new section to the forum. This section is located at the very bottom of the forum and is available for users to post feedback and ideas for our forums. Please read the guidelines before posting there. But if you have any feedback you want to give us or ideas to share on how to improve the forums, please make a post and let us know!

More to come!
