Default WIFI and Voice on the 2.4 ghz band

    Hi there,

We, as a company, are having problems with a client that uses wireless phones, these work on the 2.4 ghz band.
I would like to know, see, how a perfect environment looks like with the Wi-Spy, a network without to much interference. And i would like to see a picture of a netwerk that would be realy BAD for voice over wifi.

It would be great if some of u could share your WIFI measurements, so i can reflect that on the clients case. I do not have a wi-spy trace of the client location yet, hence me asking for your data, so i can reflect to that when i go there.

thanks in advance (first time user, still trying to find whats good and whats bad in the spectrum!)

    Kind regards.

    jvdakker,

You could download Chanalyzer 4 from our site, install it, run it, and look at the showcases we have there. We have some examples of things you are looking for

    Well, i did Stephen.

Showcase shows a DECT phone, well i tried 2 of those dect phones (different brand) and they both dont show up on the analyzer, Bluetooth doesnt seem to get there aswell. And what is better? a scan where the dots are as "low" as possible? so almost no high dots etc?

    jvdakker,

Do you have a Wi-Spy? If you don't have a Wi-Spy you won't see any spectrum data. The showcases work because they are recordings.

Dots being low in the spectrum generally just means that the device is further away from your location.

    Hi Stephan,

    I do have a Wi-Spy 2.4x
And alot of the showcased stuff does not show up when i test it here...
Seems strange to me, because i know i have those influences near.. Could it be the Wi_Spy is broken?
Am i using it wrongly? I just put it in the USB input and then start up channelizer...

    Regards.
