I've problem connectin Samsung blu ray player BD-D5500 via Samsung Lan adapter WIS12ABGNX with a router Netgear WNDR4500. Previously I used a Netgear WNDR3700v2 and everything worked perfect but now, after I bought WNDR4500 connection is not stable. I use a 5G network with 450 mbps speed, IP reservation and MAC address control. With the previous router I used the same settings (with the ecception of speed, that was up to 300 mbps while now is up to 450 mbps, the multicast trasmission that now is disabled and RIP method that in the previous router was "authomatich" while now is "both"). I can't really understand what is the problem. The adapter starts connection but after some seconds it shows me an error message "Disconnected" or "network interference". I try to disconnect everything except blu ray but it shows me the same error. I try to make a specific guest network with access point isolation, to disable NAT, to enable multicast, to change trasmission channel but I still have the same problem. I thought that the adapter was broken but if I connect it to the previous netgear router it works properly so there must be some setting in WNDR4500 that causes problem...but wich one? Anyone could help me? Please I don't know what to do. Sorry for my bad English but I'm Italian. Thanks
Speed may be an issue. The WIS12ABGNX maximum speed is 300 mbps (2 streams). If you configured your router to only connect at 450, the connection will fail.
Tnx for reply me ua549. The option "450 only" is not available on this router so I setted it with the options "till 450". I try to change this setting in "till 217" but I encountered the same issue. I also try to change channel from 44 to 36, 48, 40, 161 and 153 but I still have the same problem. Is it possible that id I use WNDR3700v2 there's no interference while if I use WNDR4500 it magically appears interferences? I don't really understand where's the problem.
What router settings are different between the router that works and the one that doesn't?
Have you tried setting the channel to "auto" select?
Also, check the encryption method to make sure that it is supported on both ends and that the pass phrase matches.
