Default Strong 1Mhz wide signal affecting WiFi networks

    Hello,

I am investigating a "WiFi doesn't work in this room" problem and a Chanalyzer scan showed a few 1 MHz signals in the 2.4 Ghz WiFi band. The WiFi problem is that the clients can't connect to the AP and I think these signals are the cause. I tried to find the source of these signals but couldn't. They don't match any of the signatures already in the application.

Anyone know what these could be?

The same WiFi system does work better in a different part of the building.

If these captures indicate some other issue, feel free to tell me that I am wrong.

    Thanks,
    - Harshal

Which AP are they trying to connect to? I saw the one on ch 1 and one on ch 11. The ch 11 AP looks fairly low in signal strength and ch 11 is relatively clear except for one spike coming through

    Hello,

I experienced nearly the same signature, it was "motion detector" for security.

    I agree with Geraldlec,

the signatures match closely with a SoundCast Audio system also it is likely a PIR or a sound device.
