About MetaGeek

MetaGeek began in 2005 when Ryan Woodings created Wi-Spy, a "poor man's spectrum analyzer." Wi-Spy was a fraction of the cost of a traditional spectrum analyzer, allowing IT administrators to use a spectrum analyzer for troubleshooting odd Wi-Fi problems. Today MetaGeek is a small company (under 10 employees) focused on creating affordable tools to help installers, network administrators, and engineers troubleshoot their wireless systems.
