AirPcap Nx

AirPcap Nx provides the best USB-based packet capture and injection solution for the Windows platform.

Easy-to-deploy, this unique dual-band offering supports full packet capture and injection for 802.11n, 802.11a/b/g legacy modes, and the 4.9 GHz US Public safety channels. AirPcap Nx also has full Wireshark® integration and is our recommended way to create .pcap files for Eye P.A.

It also features 2 x 2 MIMO with two internal antennas and can capture 2 spatial stream 40MHz wide. In addition to internal antennas, AirPcap Nx has two integrated MC-Card connectors for optional external antennas to enhance performance in the most demanding environments.

AirPcap Classic

AirPcap Classic gives you the power to capture and analyze low-level 802.11b/g wireless traffic, including control, management, and data frames on your Windows workstation or laptop. Per packet information is also available, such as power, hardware timestamps (in microseconds), and receive rate.

Reviews

AirPcap is the first open, affordable, and easy-to-deploy WLAN (802.11b/g) packet capture solution for the Windows platform.
- Wi-Fi Planet

AirPcap is fully integrated into Wireshark and is simple to use. Just start Wireshark, select the AirPcap adapter there, select your channel, and packets are grabbed and saved per your direction – easy.

Charts and graphs can also be captured for reports to management or auditors (we all know how managers and auditors like colorful pictures). The software (Cascade Pilot PE) also allows you to drill-down on many of the charts and graphs, giving an additional order of magnitude to your analysis.

These (AirPcap models) come in all sorts of ‘flavors’ from the simple 802.11 b/g ‘classic’ to a new 802.11n with external antennas. It is the ONLY way to do full ‘promiscuous mode’ capture of wireless frames on a Windows platform…When you put three of them together, you have the ability to capture through a ‘virtual’ driver that allows you to see ‘all’ packets on channels 1, 6, and 11 simultaneously. The best way to help troubleshoot a roaming client. The drivers come with it, and work directly in Wireshark.
